The Mianna-Pico series picosecond laser is a standout laser in our aesthetic picosecond laser family, offering high cost-performance and a compact size as its main advantages.
The picosecond mode of Mianna-Pico provides 450ps laser pulses with peak power up to 0.7GW, making it an excellent device for pigment removal and scar treatment.
Like other picosecond lasers from Beamtech, the Mianna-Pico series can be equipped with all Beamtech picosecond accessories, such as the picosecond articulated arm, picosecond handpiece, zoom handpiece, and fractional handpiece.
The Mianna-Pico laser head features an independent seed driver circuit design, making it compatible with existing nanosecond Q-switched power supplies.

The Mianna-Pico's picosecond pulses are extremely fast and precise, effectively removing various facial pigmentations, tattoos, wrinkles, and rejuvenating skin — which has made it popular worldwide. Because the picosecond pulse width is so short, the light energy has insufficient time to convert into heat, producing very low photothermal effect. This allows picosecond lasers to shatter pigment particles more completely while causing less damage to surrounding tissue. When used with a honeycomb (fractional) handpiece, the honeycomb lens redistributes the energy and increases local energy density by several-dozens of times. This delivers laser energy into deeper skin layers and, without damaging the epidermis, induces sub-dermal cavitation reactions (LIOB: laser-induced optical breakdown). That process stimulates new collagen formation, restarts the skin’s repair mechanisms, and addresses fine lines, wrinkles, and enlarged pores caused by collagen loss — and can also assist in repairing depressed scars and acne scarring.

Treatment heads
The picosecond system offers three treatment heads: the MLA honeycomb handpiece (Fig. A), the DOE holographic honeycomb lens (Fig. B), and the Zoom (variable-focus) handpiece (Fig. C).


About the honeycomb (fractional) handpiece
Honeycomb handpiece technology further amplifies the already-high energy density of the picosecond beam by several tens of times, focusing the energy onto the skin to stimulate collagen regeneration and smooth acne scars, fine lines, and pores — thereby improving skin texture. Beamtech supplies complete MLA and DOE honeycomb handpiece solutions compatible with all Beamtech picosecond lasers. Used together, a picosecond laser plus honeycomb handpiece can remove tattoos and pigmentation; by magnifying laser energy density it stimulates elastic fibers and collagen remodeling, producing a skin-rejuvenating effect.
