The laser intravascular plaque excision system uses a 355 nm solid-state short-pulse laser to transmit laser energy to diseased blood vessels. The high energy output within the short pulse duration can ablate atherosclerotic lesions while maintaining low thermal penetration depth, reducing the risk of damage to the vessel wall and surrounding tissues.
